EC To Re-exhibit Voters Register Online From Tuesday

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the online re-exhibition of the 2024 Provisional Voter Register from Tuesday, October 15 to Sunday, October 19, 2024.

The Electoral Commission’s (EC) assurance to re-exhibit the revised Provisional Voter Register (PVR) online was made during the Special IPAC meeting on October 1.

This move allows registered voters to verify their details and report any discrepancies to the Commission for correction, addressing concerns raised by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The online re-exhibition aims to facilitate a smoother voting process ahead of the 2024 General Elections.

In a statement issued on Monday, October 14, the EC said, “The Electoral Commission wishes to announce for the information of the General Public, Registered Voters and all Stakeholders, that Re-Exhibition of the Provisional Voters Register (PVR) will commence on Tuesday, 15th October and end on Saturday, 19th October, 2024.”

From Tuesday, October 15, voters can check their details via short code *711*51# free of charge.

Voters can also check their details from the EC’s website: https://ec.gov.gh.

“Voters should click on the pop-up link at the bottom-right corner of the screen and enter the 10-digit Voter ID number to receive their voter registration details.”

The EC called on the public to report any identified discrepancies to its District Office for corrections.

“The Public should note that any discrepancies identified must be reported to the District Office of the Commission where they are registered voters for correction. Once the Re-Exhibition Exercise ends on Saturday, 19th October, voters will still be able to check their details Online but CANNOT request for correction of their details.”

It also urged political parties to use the Template provided to submit any discrepancies identified during the re-exhibition period.

“Political Parties are required to use the Template provided by the Commission to submit any discrepancies identified during the Re-Exhibition period.”
