Akyem Aboabo: Nurses And Residents Call For Support For Health Facility

Nurses, chiefs, assembly members, and people living in Akyem Oda in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region have urged the government and other cooperating institutions to help provide their health center, which was recently upgraded from a CHIPS compound status with nurses’ quarters and other medical equipment to aid in quality healthcare in the facility.

Madam Agnes Adabrah, the senior midwife and nurse in charge of the facility, states that hospital beds, nurses’ bungalows for staff, and other equally important health equipment are necessary for the proper delivery of healthcare since the Akyem Aboabo Health Center was upgraded from a CHIPS compound to a health center.

As a result, she appealed to the government, Akyem Aboabo natives residing overseas, and other collaborating organizations to assist them in meeting any of the aforementioned needs so they may give better healthcare to the populace.

As Eastfield Farms and Madam Adilade Thompson presented television sets and other vital medical equipment to the health facility, she made this appeal and expressed her sincere gratitude to them.

The assemblyman representing Akyem Aboabo, Emmanuel Appiah Kubi, also known as “Amocachi,” further stated that although the health facility has received a lot of equipment from Akyem Aboabo’s indigenous people and other philanthropists, it is still in need of assistance because it has been upgraded from a CHIPS compound to a health facility.

Nana Ampomah Kobrah Yeboah III, the chief of Akyem Aboabo, also raised his voice by pleading with the indigenous people of Akyem Aboabo who are residing overseas to return home and assist in transforming the health center from a health center to a polyclinic.
