Nana Yaa Boahemaa Adwesei, the Akyem Aduasahemaa, has warned the government, stating: “You have taken our resources for far too long. Fix our roads or face action!”
The traditional leader’s statement urges the authorities to address the deteriorating road conditions, threatening consequences if improvements are not made.
The appeal was highlighted in a broadcast on Ahenkan 93.3 FM’s Asɛm Yi Di Ka programme.
“Aduasa produces from cash crops to food crops, water resources, timber and human resources, with government training military personnel in our forests, but still Aduasa lacks deserving good roads,” she added.
The Aduasahemaa highlighted the absurdity of paying GH₵8 from Aduasa to Oda, only to spend more on medication due to the dust from the bad roads. Her message is clear: the government will hear from them if the roads are not fixed.
