The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, Mrs. Jean Mensa, announced in April 2023 that the District Assembly Elections will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, across the country.
Mrs. Jean Mensa indicated that the 2023 District Level Elections (DLE) will take place in all 6,272 electoral areas in all districts, with the exception of Nkoranza North and South in the Bono East Region.
As a result, Ahenkan News has started speaking with voters across various election districts to find out where they stand and why.
Ahenkan news reporters Nana Yaa Kumiwaa Anokente and Nana Akua Adepa asked residents of the Aboabo Electoral Area on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, who they will vote for in the forthcoming District Assembly Elections.
The majority of respondents, 66.66%, said they set up to maintain the incumbent Assembly member Hon. Emmanuel Appiah-Kubi. 16.6% indicated they would vote for someone else to replace him, while 5.5% said they are all prepared for anyone who would give growth.
