Silent Majority of UTAG Gives Its Leadership A 3-day Ultimatum To Call Off Strike

A Group identifying as the Silent Majority within the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), has given the association’s national leadership a three (3) day ultimatum to end the ongoing strike.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the leader of the group, Professor Isaac Boadi, expressed their dissatisfaction with the strike, stating that it lacks sufficient justification.

“We are by this statement requesting the following, take immediate action from the national leadership of UTAG by Friday, October 18 to call off the strike immediately. Our first plea, our first request to NEC executives”.

He urged the leadership of UTAG to adopt a more pragmatic and strategic approach to address the ongoing negotiations with the government.
