The Head pastor of the Living Faith Church and NADMO Director for the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly, Reverend Daniel Odei Appiah, has counseled NPP delegates to cast a large number of ballots in favor of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the forthcoming party primaries.
He claimed that Bawumia is the most likely candidate to win the presidential election and defeat National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate John Dramani Mahama.
In an exclusive interview with the media, Rev. Appiah urged them to refute allegations made by the MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, that Dr. Bawumia offered him US$800 million in exchange for his withdrawal from the party’s presidential primary.
He said it was untrue that Dr. Bawumia had offered Mr. Agyapong the said amount to step down from the race.
“He even asserted that Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia is using $500 million to fuel his campaign. $500 million in this current economic situation? How can someone raise $500 million to do such a campaign? It is never true,” Rev. Appiah stressed.
He continued by calling Mr. Agyapong an autocrat and saying that he “respects no one and has insulted all prominent figures and almost everyone in the country.”
Reverend Daniel Odei Appiah also said that Mr. Agyapong could never be a decent leader.
He therefore thought that Mr. Agyapong’s leadership would prefer to foster an unending omen and turmoil.
On the other hand, Rev. Appiah, said the Vice President is a man noted for his modesty, and he remains committed to his life-long values of serving people with his intellect, integrity, and self-discipline.
“He is the person we should vote for because he will serve everyone with respect and integrity,” he stated.
