We Are Suffering – Asene Awisa Residents Lament Over Poor Road Network And Water Supply

The people of Awisa West, a suburb in Akyem Asene in the Asene Manso Akroso district of the Easter region, have bemoaned the state of the St. Paul area’s roads.

They begged the authorities to restore their roads so that there would be less dust during the dry season and fewer floods during the rainy season.

During a Thursday, November 23, 2023, interview with Ahenkan news reporters Nana Akua Adepa and Nana Yaa Kumiwaa Anokente, they mentioned that they have trouble getting water easily and that the cost of having working pipes is high.

They further called on authorities to fix their lighting system.

 

 

In response, the Assembly Member for Awisa East Electoral Area, Hon. Daniel Kwaku Gyasi, a.k.a. Abutrika, said the remaining bad roads have been awarded to contractors.

 

If his people thought the government’s water was too costly, he suggested they get their water from the communal pipes.
