Ebenezer, a suburb of Akyem Aboabo in the Birim Central Municipal Assembly of the Easter region, has expressed dissatisfaction over the high rate of theft that occurs there these days.
According to Ahenkan news reporters Nana Yaa Kumiwaa Anokente and Nana Akua Adepa, most of their sub roads are also in bad condition for convenient mobility.
They claim that the lighting system in the area is contributing to the high rate of theft in the area by making it easier for criminals to operate. They feel quite unsafe in the area after 8 p.m., which has made them fearful.
Furthermore, they said that the El-Shaddia Basic School route is extremely problematic during the rainy season, making it extremely difficult for students to get to school.
The people claimed, “The Assembly Member said we did not vote for him, and for that matter, he will not mind them.”
Finally, they added that they are begging Hon. Emmanuel Appiah-Kubi, also known as Amokachi, the Assembly Member, to assist them.
